A short train ride from Milan lies Bergamo. It's divided into two parts; the ancient, città alta, and modern, città bassa. We stuck to exploring città alta's cobble stone streets, Plaza Vecchia, Cappella Colleoni and the ancient Venetian walls. Vin Brulé (hot wine), Christmas markets, and sparkling lights kept us in the holiday spirit.
